My Policy Stamp

Description

Something I whipped up from $zilla774's awesome stamp template.

This is my personal policy, and I've felt like posting it for some time. (I've had a bad stomach bug for the past few days, and finally had the time and was bored enough to get around to it.) And, no, I don't just go give a llama badge real quick because I'm lazy. I have my reasons, and they are as follows:

1) Thanks are boring. No, I'm not saying that an honest thanks for something appreciated is boring, nor am I saying that every person who has ever thanked someone else for faving work or watching a deviant isn't being sincere. However, seeing an endless wave of the same message, over and over, just worded a little differently, gets rather dull. And I don't want to add to the spam-wall of thanks on someone's profile page.

2) Giving llama badges forces me to go to your profile page. I know that it seems rather obvious -- when I give a member a llama badge, I have to go to their profile page to do it. However, I promise you that I don't just give a badge and run. I honestly look at each and every profile page I visit. If I like what I see, I'll take a look at your gallery. If I like that, I might give you a few faves of my own, or even watch you. I can't tell you how many people on my watchlist are there because I went to their profile page with the sole purpose of giving a llama badge, and liked what I saw enough to stick around. The number is high.

3) Llama badges are quantifiable. They can be counted, they can be built up, and eventually by their sheer number they change into something else -- Llamas change to Super Llamas, Super Llamas to Albino Llamas, etc. And while some of you might be shrugging and saying, "so what?", and while having a Sparta Llama gives you no more advantage than having an Albino Llama, it's still more than can be said from six pages of "thanks!" messages archived on your profile page.

So that's how I roll, and that's why I roll the way I do. I will also say that I respect that the way I view things isn't the way other people view things. However, if you feel the same way, feel free to use this stamp on your profile page, gallery page, or wherever else you'd like! :XD:

As a side note: I do not give fave-backs or watch-backs! If I fave your work, it's because I like it. If I watch you, it's because I like your work. Faves and watches are rewards given out for doing good work and having a good body of work, respectively. They are not party favors to be given out willy-nilly. That's what llamas are for. :giggle:

Thank you so much for making this.
I wanted a stamp like this so bad.
